You can call UDHS Senior Cheerleader Mia Tikos the “Comeback Kid!” After being one of the rare cheerleaders to start on the Varsity team as a freshman and sophomore, Mia faced incredible adversity when she tore her ACL during the preliminary round of competition at the National Championships. She was not only forced to miss the final rounds of that competition, but she was sidelined for nearly 9 months as she recovered from her devastating injury. Still, Mia came to practice each day, learned the routines, and served as a leader from the sideline. She returned early in her junior year, and, as a senior, just helped the team bring home bronze at the National Championships in February!
